L’Arche started in Trosly, France as response to the segregation and
institutional care of people who had an Intellectual disability at
that time. There are now * communities in

International Federation of L’Arche communities.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

* A full clean driving license.
* Candidates must have a relevant qualification in social care
* knowledge and experience with adults with an intellectual
disability
* knowledge of HIQA standards and requirements.
* experience in team leadership

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Lead a team of assistants to ensure the well-being and comfort of
our residents.
* Uphold the values and ethos of L’Arche in all interactions and
decision-making processes.
* Foster a culture of respect, inclusion, and community integration.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Relevant qualification in social care, healthcare, or a related
field.
* Previous experience in team leadership and excellent
organisational skills.
* Knowledge and experience in working with individuals with
intellectual disabilities.
* Familiarity with HIQA requirements and national standards for
residential services.
* Commitment to promoting community integration and active
citizenship for people with disabilities.
* Valid clean driving licence.
